Episode Guide: 207

The Andromeda leads a fleet of cargo ships carrying medical supplies to Rodina where Makrai fever is threatening to kill over thirty-one million. The quickest route is through Acheron, an area operated by the Drago-Kazov, a pride of Neitzcheans. Beka commands the Andromeda as Dylan and Tyr attempt to neutralize the Nietzscheans' command center, providing safe passage for the convoy. Tyr and Dylan argue about the best way to deal with the command center, located inside a huge mountain. After deciphering the radio codes from one of the Neitzschean’s com-units, Tyr suggests they set up a zip-line across the chasm and fly over to the mountain, avoiding the ground troops. However, they are disheartened to discover their best means of entry is equipped with an automated defense system.

The Andromeda and the cargo ships come out of Slipstream to discover that one of the cargo ships, the Satyagraha, is missing. Beka turns control of the Andromeda over to Harper, while she takes the Eureka out to search for the missing ship. When she comes out of Slipstream, Beka makes contact with the missing ship, but the open-channel transmission alerts nearby Nietzschean fighters. Beka destroys two of the fighters, and distracts the remaining fighter long enough for the Satyagraha to make it to Slipstream. However, both the Eureka and the Nietzschean fighter are damaged when Beka releases mines.

Dylan and Tyr attack the automated defense system straight on, blasting their way in. They successfully make their way into Command, patching into the console to locate missile control. However, as they make their way to missile command, they realize they're heading into a trap. Gunfire ensues, but Tyr and Dylan escape down a corridor. Field Marshall Cuchulain arrives and contacts Dylan, claiming that all he wants is for Dylan to turn Tyr over to him.

Rommie and Harper anxiously wait for Beka to show up. Reluctantly, Harper makes the call for the convoy to move forward without Beka, who’s busy repairing the damaged Eureka. She's surprised to learn the Nietzschean fighter pilot is a woman, Quechua. Quechua and Beka converse as each makes repairs to their respective ships. Quechua wants Beka to surrender, but Beka refuses. The race is on to see who is the better mechanic.

Dylan demands to know why Cuchulain is so keen on getting his hands on Tyr. Tyr explains to Dylan the story of how he has the mummified remains of Drago Museveni on the Andromeda (See Episode #113). Dylan offers to turn Tyr over to Cuchulain, but when he comes to collect, Dylan and Tyr trick him, escaping in different directions. Meanwhile, Beka and Quechua continue to chat and learn more about one another as they work on their repairs. Beka thinks the Eureka is repaired and tries to escape, but her attempt is a failure. Both go back to working and talking about their families.

The Andromeda and the cargo ships finally arrive in the Acheron system and discover that they’ve flown right into an ambush. The Drago-Kazov released the plague on Rodina in an attempt to lure the Andromeda into their trap. Harper commands Rommie to prepare for battle. The ship takes some heavy hits and is cut off from the rest of the convoy. At first, Harper focuses on taking out the cruisers, but eventually concedes to focus on protecting the convoy. The convoy successfully makes it into Slipstream, leaving the Andromeda behind. Harper prepares the ship for one final act of defiance, when suddenly missiles are released from Acheron, attacking the Drago-Kazov ships Ñ Dylan has successfully rewired the missile command. Cuchulain arrives, but Dylan and Tyr are ready for him. Dylan calls Cuchulain’s bluff and attacks the fortress with missiles. Cuchulain concedes and commands his ships to cease their attack on the Andromeda. He warns Dylan that he's now after him as well as Tyr.

Quechua gravely informs Beka that she's prepared to kill her and gives her one last chance to surrender. Beka refuses, secretly knowing her firepower is operational again. Beka fires and destroys Quechua’s ship. Back on the Andromeda, Tyr is angered to learn that Dylan has taken possession of the mummified remains, denying him access. Tyr warns Dylan that he has made himself vulnerable not only to Cuchulain, but to himself as well. Dylan responds, &quo;Una salus victus,&quo; meaning, &quo; The one hope of the doomed is not to hope for safety.&quo; Dylan assures Tyr that he is always ready for anything.
