Episode Guide: 209
Delegates from every signatory to the new Commonwealth charter are aboard the Andromeda Ascendant, in an attempt to form a mutual defense pact. Harper spots a beautiful woman, Satrina Leander, who introduces herself as the archivist for the F.T.A. Information Directorate. Suddenly, the Andromeda is hailed by a Nietzschean transport carrying members of the Sabra-Jaguar Pride. Charlemagne Bolivar arrives in style and announces that he too, would like to join the Commonwealth. Dylan is not impressed.
Later, Satrina pays a private visit to Harper. She seduces him and puts her hand on his belly, phasing through it and pulling out one Magog larvae. She states that she will only take out the remaining Magog if he agrees to help her retrieve the All Systems University database. Harper realizes that Satrina is working for their nemesis and refuses. After she leaves, Harper decides he must retrieve the database in order to figure out how Satrina removed the Magog larvae from his stomach, but doesn't remember where he hid it. Meanwhile, Charlegmagne tries to persuade Dylan that he is serious about becoming part of the Commonwealth, but his snobby behavior is unconvincing.
As Harper searches for the database, Dylan leads the entire diplomatic delegation, including Charlemagne and a Perseid named Hohne, on a tour of the ship. They discover Harper holed up in a conduit. As he rushes off, Hohne follows. He stops Harper and inquires about his scientific endeavors. When he requests records, Harper has an epiphany and leaves Hohne perplexed. Later, Harper jacks into Andromeda’s AI, hoping that she might remember where he hid the database. Immediately, a holographic image of himself, Harper 2.0, appears, kicking him out of the AI. In the meantime, Satrina meets with four evil associates and orders them to kill Dylan, Hohne and Charlemagne.
Retreating to the Eureka, Harper is interrupted by Hohne, who reveals that he is a librarian for the All Systems University, and was sent to retrieve the data archive that was transferred to Harper months ago (See Episode #114). He leaves and Satrina appears, wondering if Harper will help her. He doesn't give an answer, and she phases out. He runs to Rommie for information on phased density shifting. When Trance hears his questions, she warns Harper. He disregards her advice and as she walks away he is mesmerized by the tattoo of a smiling sun on her shoulder. He flashes back and realizes he hid the database in the standing wave of a sun. Harper launches the Eureka to retrieve it. Later, after Satrina extracts the sixth egg, she refuses to continue until Harper hands over the data. When he gives her the disk, she disappears without finishing the job.
Just as Satrina thinks she has uncovered the archive, it erases itself. Harper had enabled the files she accessed to be traced and then sent back to him. She storms into the Eureka and confronts Harper. He demands she remove the Maggog larvae, but she attempts to convince him to meet her employer, promising him knowledge and eternal life. Harper strongly rejects the offer. She tries to phase out, but Harper has set up an interference pattern in the Grav-Generators under her feet, making it impossible. He snatches her dataport implant and plugs it into his neck. Attempting to extract the remaining larvae himself, Harper's hand only meets the flesh of his stomach. Satrina gives the kill command to her associates.
As Satrina’s evil cohorts wreak havoc on the crew of Andromeda, Hohne is backed into a corner and Charlemagne saves the day. Harper is still trying to figure out how to use Satrina’s dataport. He can hear whispering and music. He is entranced by twin whirling black holes, but resists the urge to give in. While phasing in and out he discovers a Maggog swarmship embedded in Andromeda’s amidships that is supplying the power to Satrina and her followers. Harper goes onboard and sets the power supply to overload. Meanwhile, back on Andromeda, the battle continues. Tyr and Charlemagne fight side by side. The swarmship explodes, forcing the evil fighters to become solid. Dylan blasts them with his force lance. Then, unexpectedly, they fade away. Later, after everyone has recovered, Charlemagne signs the Commonwealth charter, promising Dylan they will end the evil someday.
